Last December, I was looking for cruelty-free and vegan beauty products to switch off those are not cruelty-free on my vanity. It was the time I found Rhian HY YouTube channel. Yes, I think she looks attractive, and I like the way she talks. From her videos, I found a website call Petit Vour. Petit Vour sells vegan and cruelty-free products. They have a monthly subscription box (lowest $15 USD monthly) that includes 4 products of non-toxic and plant-based beauty. When I checked out their past boxes, I found out they include some expansive brands and some brands that I tempted to try (but too poor). I actually start subscribing this box since December and this is my third box. I think I can share some of my thought about this box and some goodies I got from most 2 recent boxes.
It is a sheet mask that uses to hydrate, smooth, and nourishing our skin. I am not a fan of any hydrating mask. This mask is not an exception. It works like other regular sheet masks. It has a natural rose scent. The essence is watery and maybe my skin was really dehydrated, I felt a little tingling on my cheeks, but it doesn’t make my skin red so I think I just dehydrated. Every time I use sheet mask on my dehydrated skin, I feel tingles. I really hope they can give one more to try. I only decide if I like a sheet mask or not after I try it more than once. Now, I don’t think I will buy it myself because of the price. I only buy sheet mask that is less than $3 USD a sheet.
Aromatherapy Associates: Hydrating Revitalising Face Oil $15.20 USD (Full-size, $76 USD)
A facial oil that nourishes and revitalizes the skin. They recommend this for dry or mature skin that needs a boost of vitality. I have a sensitive combination to dry skin in winter. I only use this at night on my cheek and forehead. I really like it. This oil has a pretty strong floral scent. Not a big problem, but I am not used to strong floral scent in my skincare. My skin feels relive and looks glowing the next day I used this. It would be a bit oily for spring and summer, but since it is in the January box, I think it is the perfect time to use it. Will I purchase it? No. It is expensive for me and I think this little bottle can last me a long time since I only use a drop once a while.
To be honest, I haven’t used this cleanser. I prefer natural minimal makeup look, and I have very oily eyelids so I don’t use eyeliner or eyeshadow often. I will update this part when I use it. I think it will be a long time later.
K Voss: Cinnamon Lip Plumper $18 USD
This is a lip balm and plumper in one with cinnamon, coconut, almond and olive oil. It has a very strong scent (and taste) of cinnamon. I really like it. It has a lip balm texture and makes my lip a little bit plumper. At least, I think they are plumper. I think it is a great product to use in the morning under our favorite lip product. $18 comes with 0.25 ounces of product. I may purchase it by myself after I finish this one.
Elate Cosmetics: Creme Revealer $12 USD (Full-size, $20 USD)
I have seen their blushes a lot on Instagram, and their wooden packaging is pretty unique and stands out from all other regular glass or plastic bottles. I am really excited to try this concealer. The color is a bit yellow for me. I think it is a neutral fair color. It is creamy but not having much coverage. I think it is good to use under eye and area you want to tone up. I don’t have a blush to take out the product so I use my fingers. Warning! If you have longer nails, you will suffer from sticking your nails into the cream. I am planning to use cotton swaps to take out the product next time. But, I like it is creamy and rich. It doesn’t dry my skin or make my dry lines more visible. I want to try it in a warmer season to see if I want to have it as my all-time concealer.
Derma.E: Purifying Daily Detox Scrub With Activated Charcoal $2 USD (Full-size, $15 USD)
I just notice this is a daily scrub, not the 2 in 1 charcoal mask. I need to post my thoughts later since I am trying an exfoliating toner for March. It will be a problem if I use both at the same time. But, I really like Derma.E 2 in 1 charcoal mask so I am excited to try this. I hope it can deeply clean my skin with the charcoal. I am trying to clean out my pores. Of course, I moisture my skin well so it doesn’t over dry my skin.
Red Apple Lipstick: Lip Liner (Barely Pink) $23 USD
I never use a lip liner since I always use lip balm. This Red Apple Lipstick lip liner is easy to draw. It is like a softer pencil, but it doesn’t break easily. The color is cute and most people can use it. I think I should use it when I use lip gloss.
Zabana Essentials: Tamanu Calendula Healing Anti-Blemish Face Balm $15 USD (Full-size, $30 USD)
This balm claims to combat acne, redness, scars, dermatitis, and reduce fine lines. It also claims this balm can reduce pore buildup, and provide balanced hydration. After trying it for two weeks, I would say this is a product I will definitely purchase the full size. When I look at it closely, it has a buttery scrub texture. When it warms up, it melts like a regular oil. It is not heavy and doesn’t have strong scent. I notice my skin doesn’t look as red as before. I also don’t feel the dryness on my cheek anymore. Although I am still not used to putting oil on my face, I like this balm so much. Let me know if you want me to write a longer detail review that has before after comparing pictures. This balm can last me for at least half a year so I have a long time to experience it.
Overall, I have very positive experience with Petit Vour box. I recommend everyone to give it a try. Of course, there are much more affordable subscription boxes on the market. But, if you like most brands on their brand list, this is a box you should consider when you want to try a subscription box. There are a lot of brands and products that need to be talked about more. I also want to send a message to people that good skin doesn’t need animals to suffer.
