I can’t resist anything with ginseng as an ingredient. As a girl growing up in China, I have a strong belief that ginseng can cure anything. Older ginseng is more effective than the younger one, and they are tricky and take time to grow so ginseng is really expensive. I remember people gift very old ginseng to elders and wish the elders have a longer life. It is why I cannot resist trying this I’m From Ginseng Serum.

I got this serum at a discounted rate (Just paying the shipping fee. Yeah <3 ), and the original price is $28.8 USD on Wishtrend. It is mainly for wrinkle improvement which is not my concern for now. I mainly try it for the texture, feeling, and see if it helps for my fine lines and elasticity.
Let me give some information about this product before showing you my result after finishing one bottle:
Price: 30 ml for $28.8 USD.
Function: Wrinkle improvement, elasticity, nourish, rejuvenate, and skin purifying.
Direction: Apply 3-4 drops over clean face and throat every morning and night. Smooth gently.
Ingredient: Water, Red Ginseng Extract (7.98%), Butylene Glycol, Betaine, 1,2-Hexanediol, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Glycerin, Panax Ginseng Seed Oil (1000ppm), Glycyrrhiza Uralensis (Licorice) Root Extract, Paeonia Albiflora Root Extract, Angelica Gigas Root Extract, Rheum Palmatum Root Extract, Angelica Pubescens Root Extract, Schizonepeta Tenuifolia Extract, Phellodendron Amurense Bark Extract, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol, Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, Ethoxydiglycol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Tromethamine, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hydrolyzed Glycosaminoglycans, Hyaluronic Acid, Glyceryl Polyacrylate, Adenosine, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance
I am not a fan of the serum color. It reminds me of cold chicken soup. It has a herbal scent but doesn’t scent like ginseng to me. Some people hate this scent, but I am too used to the herbal scent, and I believe herbs equal healthy. XD It just reminds me of old fashion Chinese medicine. I personally like this scent. It just makes me feel a bit disappointed that this scent is part of the fragrance it added. (Or it is already covered by the added fragrance?)
The texture is not watery and is on the thick side. It is not oily or sticky, but it takes a while to get absorbed into the skin. I think it is better for fall and winter seasons. I don’t recommend to use it in the morning routine if doing makeup. At least, I don’t recommend for people who don’t have dry skin. I have combination sensitive skin. I try to use it in the morning and make sure use very light moisturizer. It makes the makeup melt faster. Even I don’t use makeup, it makes my skin get oily quicker. It is good to have oiler skin in dry weather to stay moisture, but it is a tragedy in summer. XD
Left is before, Right is after. Please ignore my dead fish looking eyes. XD My face was puffy too. XD
I feel my skin get smoother and softer. I don’t see any difference for my fine lines and acne scars. By looking at the before-after picture, I can see my fresh acne scars heal faster (see my T-zone) and that little sag on my mouth corners is getting better. It doesn’t help with my redness or sensitivity. In fact, because it is oily for this warm season, my skin breakout, but I like the glow it gives me. I also think my skin looks healthier and smoother.
I use this serum both day and night. The entire bottle takes me 1.5 months to finish. I am not disappointed about this result since I will be scared if it gives me flawless skin within 1.5 months. (Like what’s the side effect!?) Regarding the function they claim, I don’t have wrinkles yet so I cannot test the wrinkle improvement function, but I see some helps on elasticity and nourishment. I think my skin breakout because of the skin purifying function.
I am bit early to use this serum. I think I will get the most of it when I hit my 30s since my skin will be dryer and start having wrinkles. For now, I will use vitamin C serum and focus on my sensitivity and stay hydrated. My current goal is to find a product that helps me heal my acne scars and prevent breakout/sensitivity. But, I will go back to this serum or other ginseng serum since I just can’t resist any ginseng product especially this serum contains 7.98% red ginseng. XD
